CYL88 login and register: what you need to know

The short answer

There is no CYL88 login page and no CYL88 register page on cyl88.quest. CYL88 is an information site: every page is free to read, and none of it needs a username, password, phone number or IC number.

That also means you can't lose access to a CYL88 account, because there isn't one. If a page that looks like CYL88 asks you to sign in or sign up, it isn't us.

Why fake CYL88 login pages exist

Well-known names attract copycats. Scam sites copy a brand's name, colours and logo, then add a convincing login or sign-up form. Anything you type into it, whether a password, your IC number, card details or a TAC code from your bank, goes straight to the people running the site.

In Malaysia, these pages usually arrive through search ads, social media posts, WhatsApp or Telegram messages and SMS links, often with an offer of free credit or a sign-up bonus to make you act quickly.

How to check you're on the official CYL88 site

1. Read the address bar. The official CYL88 website is cyl88.quest, spelled exactly like that. Lookalike sites add extra words, hyphens or numbers, or use a different ending.
2. Don't rely on the padlock alone. A padlock means the connection is encrypted, not that the site is genuine. Scam sites can have one too.
3. Notice what you're being asked for. cyl88.quest never asks for a login, password, IC number, bank details or TAC/OTP code. Any page that does is not us.
4. Be careful with links in messages. cyl88.quest doesn't list any WhatsApp, Telegram or social media accounts, so treat messages that claim to come from CYL88 with suspicion.
5. Bookmark the real address. Type cyl88.quest once, bookmark it, and use the bookmark from then on.

Before you register on any gaming site

If you're thinking about signing up for any online gaming or betting platform, check these points first. They take a few minutes and can save you a great deal of trouble.

• Is it legal where you live? In October 2023, Malaysia's Court of Appeal ruled that online gambling is an offence in Peninsular Malaysia under the Common Gaming Houses Act 1953. Our Malaysia guide explains what that means.
• Are you old enough? Malaysia's only licensed casino admits non-Muslim visitors aged 21 and over, and 21 is the minimum age we use across this site.
• Who runs it? A genuine operator names its company, its licence and the regulator that issued it: details you can check on the regulator's own website.
• What happens to your data? Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 sets rules for how organisations handle personal data. A trustworthy site tells you what it collects and why.
• Can you set limits? Responsible platforms let you cap deposits and playing time, take a break or exclude yourself.
• Are the withdrawal rules clear? If the terms for taking money out are vague, hidden or missing, walk away.

Entered your details on a fake CYL88 site?

Act quickly. If money is involved, the first hour matters most.

1. Call your bank and ask them to block your cards and online banking.
2. Call the National Scam Response Centre on 997. The line runs 24 hours a day and works with banks to try to freeze money that has been moved.
3. Change your passwords, starting with your email and banking, and turn on two-factor authentication.
4. Make a police report. You can also check whether a phone number or bank account has already been reported for fraud using PDRM's Semak Mule service.
5. Keep watching your accounts for unfamiliar transactions over the following weeks.
